Catching up - pictures from our summer vacation
In mid-August we spent a week with my parents, brother Stu and his wife, Lindsay and our niece and nephew Kayli and Simon. My parents rented a house on a lake in the Poconos and we had a great time hanging out and relaxing.
As you can see from the next few pictures, my mom organized (amongother activities!) a tie-dye event and here we are all sporting our t-shirts.
Our house was also next to a pool and Spencer just loves the water (as do I) - here we are swimming together. He also loved playing with the pool toy that my parents bought him - which was similar to one that Stu and I played with as kids.
The house we rented was only a few steps from the beach.

Just hanging around the house...
The first of Spencer's first birthday parties!

Spencer had a great time playing in the same with his cousins and swimming in the lake.

More happenings...
This morning I ran a 10-mile race that weaved through the city and four of the parks near our house, ending at the park right by us. I ran with four other girls - a few of us run together in the mornings before work and then do a longer run on the weekend. Our next stop is the Denver half marathon in October, which will be lots of fun...especially with my favorite cheering section waiting for me at the end of each race!
Last week Denver hosted the Democratic National Convention - quite the amazing event for our city. Jon and I saw Barack Obama accept the party's nomination.
