Jon celebrated his 40th birthday on February 1 but the festivities have gone on for about a month! Last Saturday night we had a surprise party for Jon at our neighbors' house across the street. Despite a few near slips I pulled off the surprise for Jon...he thought we were headed to dinner with my three running buddies (who helped plan the party) and their husbands. What a fun night!
We continue the celebrations next week when we head to Cabo San Lucas for a few days of vacation. My parents are coming to visit this Friday and will stay with Spencer while we're away.
In other news, Spencer continues to amaze us with new words and activities. Tonight he ditched his high chair at dinner and joined us at the table on a real chair. He is full of energy and so much fun!
